Bentley Continental GTC Speed for Sale in Dubai — A Buyer’s Guide to the Last W12 Convertible

Bentley Continental GTC Speed for Sale in Dubai — A Buyer’s Guide to the Last W12 Convertible
House of Cars Dubai

For two decades the Bentley Continental GT and its convertible sister, the GTC, were defined by one engine, a hand-built 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12. In summer 2024 Bentley built the last of them in Crewe, after more than 100,000 W12 engines since the original Continental GT of 2003. The current Continental GTC Speed now uses a V8 plug-in hybrid instead. That makes the third-generation Continental GTC Speed W12, sold from 2021 until the switch, the final open-top Bentley with twelve cylinders, and that is exactly why buyers in Dubai are starting to look at it differently.

What the GTC Speed W12 is

The GTC Speed sits at the top of the third-generation Continental convertible range. Its W12 produces 659 PS (650 bhp), enough for 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h, with the fabric roof opening or closing in around 19 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Bentley gave the Speed sharper chassis tuning than the regular W12, with an electronic limited-slip differential and its own Speed details inside and out. Carbon ceramic brakes were an option, so check whether a car has them, because they add real value on resale.

W12 or the new hybrid

The new Continental GTC Speed pairs a 4.0-litre V8 with an electric motor for 782 PS and up to around 80 km of electric driving. It is faster on paper, but it is also heavier, and it does not have the effortless, turbine-smooth character that made the W12 special. For buyers who see a Bentley convertible as a long-term keeper rather than a gadget, the last W12 cars are the ones with a story, and limited supply tends to support values once a model line is closed.

What to check before you buy

Service history comes first. Ask for a stamped record from an authorised Bentley workshop, check that annual services were done on time even with low mileage, and confirm how much of the factory or extended warranty is left. Test the roof several times, listen for unusual noises and check the seals and headlining for any sign of water. On a car with 22-inch wheels, look at tyre age as well as tread, because low-mileage cars often sit on old tyres. Check the carbon ceramic brakes if fitted, as replacement is expensive. Finally, confirm the specification, the import or GCC status and that the car is free of any finance or registration issues before you pay a deposit.

What a Continental GTC costs in Dubai

Prices depend heavily on year, engine and mileage. In late October 2026, listings we saw in Dubai ranged from around AED 700,000 for a 2020 GTC W12 with under 20,000 km to around AED 900,000 for a near-new 2023 GTC S V8. A Speed W12 with very low mileage sits at the top of that range, because it combines the most powerful version of this generation with the engine that collectors are now looking for. Older second-generation cars are much cheaper, but they are a different car with older technology.

Why now is the time in Dubai

The cool season from November to March is when a convertible makes the most sense in the UAE, with evening drives along Jumeirah, weekend runs to Hatta and the desert roads to Abu Dhabi all at their best roof down. Demand for open cars rises with it, so the best-specified examples tend to move first.
